Alcala earns RMAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 26, 2015) – Colorado State University-Pueblo freshman Steven Alcala (Pueblo, Colo.) was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Week Thursday, in an announcement from the league office. 

Alcala went 8-0 on a early spring trip to Arizona Feb. 13-14. He went 4-0 at No. 4 singles and in those victories, lost just 11 sets. Playing with Luke Lipinski at No. 2 doubles, the pair went 4-0 on the weekend.

No. 2 Doubles - W, 8-4

No. 4 Singles - W, 6-3, 6-3
No. 2 Doubles - W, 8-4

The men's tennis team resumes play Monday, March 2 at Air Force Academy beginning at 3 p.m.
