Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. (November 20, 2015) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball team takes the court against a pair of Texas schools this weekend at the Marriott Champions Circle Pioneer Premiere in Denton, Texas. The Pack will clash with Midwestern State Saturday Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. They will wrap up their weekend with a game against Texas Women's Sunday Nov.22 at 3 p.m.

About CSU-Pueblo:
- CSU-Pueblo will try to make it two in a row against Lone Star Conference foes. The Pack knocked off Texas A&M Commerce 68-62 Nov. 14.
- The Pack started the regular season by splitting two games at home during the 32nd Annual Al Kaly Shrine Classic. The ThunderWolves defeated Commerce, but fell to Lubbock Christian in their season opener.
-CSU-Pueblo and Midwestern State have only played once before with the Pack winning a 62-56 overtime thriller Nov. 24, 2006.
- Freshman Lauren Heyn (Fr., Loomis, Calif.) collected her first collegiate double-double with 11 points and 16 boards in Saturday's win over Texas A&M Commerce. Heyn's double-double was also the Pack's first of the young season.
- Heyn's double-double was the first by a Pack freshman since Katie Nehf had 13 points and 11 rebounds on Mar. 9, 2012. The Loomis Calif. native leads the Pack with a .573 field goal percentage and 9.5 rebounds per game.
- Fellow freshman, Molly Rohrer (Fr., Greenwood Village, Colo.) made an immediate impact during the Pack's first weekend. Rohrer averaged a team best 12.5 points per game during the opening weekend.
- Rohrer has sank 50 percent of her shots from the field. The Greenwood Village, Colo. native also rejected three shots and knocked down her first collegiate three pointer in the Pack's win over Texas A&M Commerce.
- With four three pointers made last weekend, Dee Arrieta (Sr., Pueblo West, Colo.) moved into eighth place on the school's all-time three pointers list, with 106 shots drained from beyond the arc.
- CSU-Pueblo missed more free throws in the first quarter against Lubbock Christian than they did in the exhibition play, going 1-for-8 in the first quarter and 5-16 overall from the stripe. The Pack shot 28-for 34 (82.4 percent) from the line in exhibition play.
- After allowing Lubbock Christian to shoot 50 percent from the field in their season opener, the Pack responded by holding Texas A&M Commerce to 28.8 percent from the field and a 23.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Scouting Midwestern State
- The Mustangs enter the weekend 1-2. They were swept at the Ashbrook Classic, but responded with a 57-55 win over Texas Wesleyan.
- Head Coach Noel Johnson's team owns the lowest scoring average in the Lone Star Conference with 54.3 points per game. Their -8.0 scoring margin is also last in conference.
- The Mustangs do not have a single scorer that averages double digit points per game. Whitney Taylor leads the way with 9.3 ppg.
- McKenna Villegas averages 1.3 blocks per game. Villegas also supplies an offensive presence down low with a team best .714 field goal percentage.
- Midwestern State finished the 2014-15 season 23-7. They were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by Colorado Christian.
Scouting Texas Women's
- The Pioneers have started the year 2-0 after knocking off St. Mary's 77-72 Nov. 13 and following it up with a 56-41 win over Rogers State.
- Erin Maxwell leads Texas Women's with 11.5 points per game. She scored a season high 17 against St. Mary's. Maxwell also leads the Pioneers with five blocks.
-Texas Women's averages 4.5 blocks per game and 10.0 steals per game so far this young season. They have also made 70 percent of their free throws.
- Dani Westerfield has made 62,5 percent of her shots so far this season. Alexis Nezianya has also made an impressive 57.3 percent of her attempts from the field.
- The Pioneers are not a good three point shooting team. Texas Women's has made just five three pointers this year compared to 10 for CSU-Pueblo. The Pioneers have made 21.7 percent of their shots from downtown.
