PUEBLO, Colo. (GothunderWolves.com – March, 15, 2014) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo ThunderWolves fell behind early, before three big innings helped the Pack take game two of a 4-game Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series with the Adams State University Grizzlies by a a 13-3 margin on a windy Saturday afternoon at Rawlings Field.

After trailing 2-0 entering the bottom of the second inning, the ThunderWolves plated four runs, all of which came with two outs, fueled by a solo home run by Mike Wagner (Jr. Golden Colo.), followed by a 3-run homer three batters later by Dominick Bregar (So. Pueblo, Colo.), to take a 4-2 lead.

The ThunderWolves, who won Friday's series opener 10-3, would score five more runs in the bottom of the fourth on five hits and two errors by the Grizzlies, highlighted by a 2-RBI single by Bregar, which gave the Pack a 9-2 lead.

The ThunderWolves then extended the lead to 13-2 after a 4-run bottom of the fifth on four hits including a 2-run triple by Austin Mascorro (Jr. Oxnard, Calif.) and a 2-RBI double by Evan Kenebrew (Sr. Colorado Springs, Colo.).

Combined, Bregar and Mascorro would finish 4-for-7, with eight RBI and three stolen bases throughout the 7-inning affair.

Meanwhile, starting pitcher Jesse Bristow (Jr. Heber, Utah) went six innings, surrendering just two earned runs on seven hits, while striking out five. Bristow imporved to 3-1 on the season.

Grizzly ace Andrew MacMahon fell to 3-2 as he was banged up for seven earned runs and as many hits in four innings of work.  Drew Wells had two of the Grizzlies' seven hits.

With the win, the ThunderWolves improved to 9-9 (5-3 RMAC) on the season.  They are now 6-2 at home.  Adams State fell to 6-13 overall and to 4-5 in RMAC play.

The two teams will continue the series at 11 a.m. on Sunday with a doubleheader after they agreed to postpone the third game of the series, which was originally scheduled as the second game of the Saturday doubleheader, due to high wind speeds.
