COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - March 7, 2013) - With a long road trip well behind them the CSU-Pueblo Men's tennis team returned to action again Thursday when they went up the interstate to face the Tigers of Colorado College cruising to an easy win 8-1.
The Pack was victorious in all singles match play with no serious threat throughout. Four of the six singles matches had the Pack winning each in straight sets, Anthony Breitenbach (Sr., Tigard, Ore.) playing in No. 3 singles, crushed Zach White from CC 6-1, 6-1. Several ThunderWolves picked up their first individual match win of the spring, Shane Nicholls (Fr., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) (2-6, 6-3, 10-8), Alexandro Moncayo-Samperio (Jr., Vera Cruz, Mex.) (7-5, 6-1), and Tom Chavez (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) (5-7, 7-6(6), 11-9).
The T-Wolves will now return home for a 7-game homestand beginning Friday when they play host to conference foe Colorado Christian in the RMAC opener, first serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Pueblo City Courts.
