Pack takes split with Regis

Pack, however, falls out of first place tie after split.

DENVER, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - April 13, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo rebounded nicely after a loss in the early game with Regis Friday, winning 6-4 after losing the early game 11-2.

CSU-Pueblo could only muster five hits off Regis starter Charlie Henderson, who K'ed nine ThunderWolves, but the Pack recovered by ripping the Rangers for 14 hits in the late game.

Three ThunderWolves registered three-hit games, including Andrew Castaneda (Sr., San Jose, Calif.), who went 3-for-4 and knocked in two runs, and Brandon Evans (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.), who scored two runs in his three-hit effort.  Chase Lacomb (Jr., Las Vegas, Nev.) had the Pack's other three hit game.

Chris Schindler (Sr., San Mateo, Calif.) drilled the ThunderWolves' lone home run - a second-inning solo shot.  On the mound, Jeremiah Struble (Jr., Divide, Colo.) led the Pack with a complete game five-hitter.

The bad news for the day came as Colorado Mesa won two games over Colorado Christian, now leaving the Pack a game out of first place.

CSU-Pueblo will wrap up its series with Regis Saturday with another noon doubleheader.
