PUEBLO,Colo.-(GoThunderWolves.com-April 13, 2012)-In a rare appearance and the last at home this season, the CSU-Pueblo Women's Tennis Team finally got a chance to show off. Throw in that these matches were going to be the last home ones for their senior leader, the ThunderWolves didn't disappoint when they defeated Montana State-Billings, six-games to three.
Helping her own cause was Cindy Boughton (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.). As she has done all season, Boughton set the example and notched two wins in the victory. First she controlled her number-six singles match winning (6-1, 6-1) and then partnered up again with Heather Guilliams (Fr., Brighton, Colo.) to win, for their sixth time, 8-0 at number-3 doubles.
Serving up two more wins was Kellie Manes (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.). Manes picked up a win at number-two singles (7-5, 7-5) and then joined Aneysa Hart (So., Pueblo Colo.), to pick up the other win at number-2 doubles (8-3).
Completing the team win were Ciera Frankmore (Jr., Pueblo West, Colo.) and Brittani Trevithick (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.). Both picked up singles wins, Frankmore in three sets (6-0, 0-6, 6-1) at number-four singles and Trevithick at number-five singles (6-1, 6-4), for the Pack.
The ThunderWolves will compete in the upcoming RMAC Tournament starting Friday, April 20, in Denver, Colo.
