DENVER, Colo. -(GoThunderWolves.com-March24,2012)- Facing one of the giants in the RMAC, Metro State, the CSU-Pueblo Women's Tennis team got reminded they still have some work to do before the RMAC Tournament in April.
The Pack was unable to pry any games away from the #4 regionally ranked Roadrunners, however there was excitement #2 and #3 doubles.
The team of Kellie Manes (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) and Aneysa Hart (So., Pueblo, Colo.) stayed in the fray but fell short at #2 doubles, loosing 6-8.
Then in the final doubles match, Cindy Boughton (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) and Heather Guilliams (Fr., Brighton, Colo.) came out firing. They played even thoughout and even took Metro into a tie-breaking set but the Roadrunners escaped winning 9-8 (3).
The Women return to the road to face another regionally ranked RMAC squad in Western New Mexico on Friday, March 30 in Silver City, N.M. First serve slated for 2 p.m.
