SAN ANGELO, Tex. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 26, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo's long weekend came to a close Sunday as Angelo State handed the Pack its fifth straight loss by a 14-4 score.
It was another bitter pill to swallow for the ThunderWolves, as the Rams blazed the Pack for 19 hits, with three different players logging three or more RBI. A four-run first was all Angelo State needed to jump ahead and stay there for good.
CSU-Pueblo, meanwhile, despite getting 10 hits, left 15 runners stranded on the bases.
The ThunderWolves will hope to turn the negative of facing one of the top teams in the country into a positive as it opens its RMAC schedule next weekend at Colorado School of Mines for a four-game series.
