PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com)- Things seemed to go a little crazy for CSU-Pueblo's Men's Tennis team. The good kind of crazy. The Pack defeated Colorado Mesa (6-3) and Nebraska-Omaha (6-3) in CSU-Pueblo's Tennis Mania Invitational on Friday, Sept. 9.
Charging the nets for the Pack was a pair of it's juniors. Tom Chavez (Jr.,Pueblo, Colo.) and Bruno Hurtado (Jr., Mexico City, Mexico) both posted two victories each in their singles matches but also picked up two wins as a doubles team. Together Chavez and Hurtado won six of the eight games they played.
Saul Shrom, (So., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) and Alexandro Mancayo-Samperio (Sr., Veracruz, Mexico) also had two wins with their singles play. Paired up for doubles, they added one more win.
Closing out the wins for the ThunderWolves were Ivan Aragona (Sr.,Sao Paulo, Brasil) and Anthony Breitenbach (Jr., Tigard, Ore.) who claimed one win during the Mania.
Next up for CSU-Pueblo is the ITA Central Regional Championships being held in Kearney, Neb. on Sept. 30.
