DENVER, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Apr. 22, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo's women's tennis team dropped two duals Friday, succumbing in the double-elimination Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament.
The Pack lost its first match 5-0 to Mesa State, leaving some matches unfinished before the Mavericks won the best of nine contest. CSU-Pueblo's fate was decided in the elimination match against Montana State-Billings, where it fell 5-3 to the Yellow Jackets in a close dual.
The deciding match may have very well been the match at three-singles, where Johnna Beatty from MSU-Billings outlasted Nicole Pilot (So., Pueblo, Colo.) 6-2, 5-7 and 6-3, emerging in the tiebreak set.
With the losses, CSU-Pueblo finishes 7th in the conference tournament.
All-RMAC Teams
All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams were unveiled Friday and the Pack had one entrant on the squad, one-singles player Morgan Forsyth (Jr., Parker, Colo.). Forsyth carries a 14-5 record as the ThunderWolves' one-singles player in 2010-11.
