PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Apr. 15, 2011) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo athletics department will host the seventh annual Pack the Park baseball game and the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Youth Baseball Clinic on Friday, April 29 at Runyon Field. Be part of a great baseball celebration as the CSU-Pueblo Baseball program strives to beat the All-Time Division II Attendance Record for a single game (3,683) set by the ThunderWolves in 2005.
The Colorado State University-Pueblo Baseball Program will offer a great opportunity for all youth to improve their baseball skills at this free baseball clinic. All youth in grades K – 8th are invited to take part in the clinic and attend the CSU-Pueblo vs. Mesa State baseball game at Runyon Field.
Late registration will begin at 4:30 p.m., the clinic will follow from 5 - 6 p.m. and a parade of athletes will kick off the start of the CSU-Pueblo game at 7:05 p.m. All youth should bring a glove to participate. Each child will receive a free t-shirt, admission to the CSU-Pueblo baseball game and a meal following the parade. Youth teams can register together and are encouraged to wear their team uniforms to the event. Coaches will also receive free admission to the game. Parents can purchase tickets for $5 each.
Giveaways and prizes will be given out every half inning. Giveaways will include autographed baseballs from the Colorado Rockies and $100 gas cards from Loaf N' Jug. All fans will receive their free drawing ticket as they enter the ballpark.
