LAS VEGAS, N.M. (GoThunderWolves.com) - A day after being held to four hits in a loss to New Mexico Highlands, Cowboys pitching held CSU-Pueblo to just three hits as the Pack fell 13-1 in the series finale with the Cowboys Sunday.
The two teams ended up splitting the four-game series.
The Pack was no-hit for five innings and had trouble getting any traction offensively.
Defensively, pitching was an issue as the Pack was down 5-0 through five innings, then watch as its normally unflappable relief pitching surrendered eight runs in the seventh inning.
CSU-Pueblo returns home for a non-conference showdown with Metro State Tuesday before it hosts Nebraska-Kearney for a four-game series at Rawlings Field next weekend.
