PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Mar. 19, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo earned a conference win over Colorado Christian before dropping a non-conference dual to NAIA power, Bethany College Saturday.
The ThunderWolves blanked Colorado Christian 9-0 with a partial lineup, but fell 8-1 to Bethany in a pair of duals played at Pueblo Central High School.
Bruno Hurtado (So., Mexico City, Mexico) had a banner day, going a combined 3-1 and winning both of his singles matches at one-singles. He was just a hair away from a perfect day, only losing the one-doubles match (with partner Saul Shrom (Fr., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ontario)) 9-7 to Bethany.
CSU-Pueblo will now take Spring Break off before it returns to the court April 1 when it travels to Montana State Billings for an RMAC pod with Nebraska-Kearney and MSU-Billings.
