LAKEWOOD, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 25,
2010) - CSU-Pueblo claimed its first win of the season
Saturday, downing Colorado Christian 8-1 before falling 6-3 to
Nebraska-Omaha.
The ThunderWolves left little doubt against CCU, as all singles
players won in straight sets.
Against Nebraska-Omaha, the Pack battled, seeing two singles
matches going to tiebreak and falling on the short end, which would
have made the difference in the dual win.
The hardest to swallow in the one-singles match, with
Bruno Hurtado (So., Mexico City, Mexico) falling
in three sets after winning the opening set, 6-4. He lost
4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
CSU-Pueblo's next date will be at the ITA Central Regionals in
Kearney, Neb. next week, where it will compete to decide individual
champions.
