Game 1: Colorado Christian 11, CSU-Pueblo 10
Game 2: CSU-Pueblo 13, Colorado Christian 9
PUEBLO - It may not have been the prettiest day for the Pack,
but CSU-Pueblo rode hot bats to a split with Colorado Christian
Saturday, securing the series win.
The ThunderWolves hung a total of 23 runs on the Cougars over
the two games Saturday, helping to lift the Pack on a day when the
pitchers struggled on the mound.
The biggest day with the bat belonged to Jerry Salazar
(Sr., Pueblo, Colo.), who went a combined 5-for-8,
knocking in a total of four runs. Zach Hoffman (Sr.,
Pueblo West, Colo.) and Eric Bloom (Sr., Reseda,
Calif.) each turned in a total of four hits apiece.
The split helps keep the Pack in first place in the RMAC Plains
Division, holding a 1.5-game lead over Nebraska-Kearney, who split
with Metro State Saturday.
The ThunderWolves will close out its home schedule next Friday,
when it hosts Regis at Pueblo's Runyon Field for the annual "Pack
the Park" event.
