Metro State 4, CSU-Pueblo 0
DENVER, Colo. - Three late goals turned a defensive showdown
into a blowout Friday as CSU-Pueblo was on the short end of a 4-0
loss to Metro State in a game that was much closer than the score
would indicate.
The game was scoreless all the way until the 69th minute when
Metro State finally broke through with the game's first goal.
But the dam finally broke in a game where the Pack was outshot
15-5 as the Roadrunners netted three goals within the game's final
10 minutes.
"I really felt like we were right there all game long," Pack
coach Roy Stanley said. "Their first goal was a good goal,
but we made a mistake in the second goal and that allowed them to
take over."
The ThunderWolves' loss is their third straight and fourth in
the past five games. The ThunderWolves will seek to right the
ship Sunday when they travel to Regis.
