PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 26, 2026) – The CSU Pueblo men's soccer team continues to establish itself as one of the nation's top programs, holding steady at No. 2 in Super Region 4 in the latest NCAA Division II Men's Soccer NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings released Monday.

The ThunderWolves, who are 13-0-2 under first-year head coach Thomás Pazo Tourinho, remain unbeaten heading into the final match of the regular season and have positioned themselves among the top contenders for a berth in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Tournament.

Monday's rankings mark the second consecutive week that CSU Pueblo has occupied the No. 2 position in Super Region 4, which features programs from five conferences: the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), Lone Star Conference (LSC), California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Pacific West Conference (PacWest) and Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC).

The NPI serves as a key metric in the NCAA Division II men's soccer championship selection process, evaluating teams based on their results, strength of schedule and quality of opponents throughout the season.

CSU Pueblo's impressive campaign has been highlighted by its consistency on both ends of the pitch, as the ThunderWolves have continued to find ways to win while navigating a challenging RMAC schedule.

Most recently, the Pack closed out its regular-season home slate with a commanding 3-0 victory over Colorado School of Mines at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium. Juan Pablo Orozco Soto scored twice, while João Lutz added another goal to help the ThunderWolves remain unbeaten and keep their conference championship aspirations alive.

With the postseason approaching, CSU Pueblo now turns its attention to one final regular-season test with an opportunity to secure the RMAC regular-season championship.

Up Next
The ThunderWolves travel to Colorado Springs on Wednesday, Oct. 28, to face UCCS in their regular-season finale at Mountain Lion Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

With the RMAC regular-season championship still up for grabs, the stakes could not be higher for the Pack. A victory over the Mountain Lions would clinch the conference's regular-season title outright for CSU Pueblo, adding another milestone to an already remarkable first season under Pazo Tourinho.
