- The 15th-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf team made its move on Friday during round two of the NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional as the ThunderWolves climbed the leaderboard after one of the best team rounds of the day at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, California.
On a day commonly referred to as "moving day," the ThunderWolves were one of the few teams in the 20-team field to shoot under par, carding a one-under-par 287 team total to move into a tie for 12th place heading into Saturday's final round.
CSU Pueblo now sits at five-over par for the tournament and remains firmly in the hunt for one of the five coveted spots to the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championships, which will be held May 18-22 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas.
The ThunderWolves trail Cal State East Bay and Cameron University by just six shots entering the final 18 holes, as both teams currently sit tied for fifth place at one-under par overall.
The Pack knows a low round is possible at The Reserve at Spanos Park after earlier this season winning the Super Regional Preview tournament on the same course. During that February victory, CSU Pueblo closed with a blistering nine-under-par 279 team score to storm up the leaderboard and capture the title.
Senior captain Archie Wyatt once again led the charge for the ThunderWolves as the Scotsman continued his stellar postseason performance. Wyatt fired a three-under-par 69 on Friday and now sits tied for eighth place individually at four-under par through 36 holes.
After a difficult opening round on Thursday, CSU Pueblo standout Marius Dosiere bounced back in a big way with an even-par 72 to help stabilize the ThunderWolves lineup heading into the final round.
Agustin Pizzorno and Kyle Leydon each posted one-over-par 73s, while Paraic McGrath rounded out the scoring with a two-over-par 74.
Western Washington and West Texas A&M are tied atop the team standings at 11-under par, while Cal State San Bernardino sits third at 10-under. Chico State occupies fourth place at eight-under par entering the final round.
Now with just one round remaining, the ThunderWolves will look to make one final charge Saturday morning in Stockton as CSU Pueblo attempts to punch its ticket back to the NCAA Division II National Championships for the first time since 2022.
