COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced its 2026-27 Men's Golf Preseason Coaches' Poll on Tuesday, with Colorado State University Pueblo selected to finish second in the league.
The ThunderWolves received 28 points in the preseason poll, collecting one first-place vote, three second-place votes and one third-place vote. Defending RMAC Champion Colorado Mesa was picked to win the league with 34 points and five first-place votes.
CSU Pueblo enters the 2026-27 season looking to continue its run as one of the region's most consistent programs under Director of Golf Josh Koschke. The ThunderWolves have advanced to postseason play in nine consecutive seasons under Koschke and will look to make it 10 straight this spring.
Last season, the Pack finished tied for second at the 2026 RMAC Championships after firing a 10-under-par 710. Marius Dosiere and Archie Wyatt led the way at the conference championships, with both golfers tying for sixth individually.
Pack Looks to Replace Decorated Departures
While CSU Pueblo returns an experienced group for the upcoming season, the ThunderWolves will have to replace several key pieces who played major roles in the program's recent success.
Among those departures is Wyatt, who concluded an illustrious career with the Pack last spring by qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Championships as an individual. His trip to the national championships capped a decorated career in Pueblo and gave the ThunderWolves an individual representative on the national stage for the second consecutive season.
Also lost to graduation is Agustin Pizzorno, who put together an impressive two-year career with the ThunderWolves. Pizzorno qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships as an individual in the spring of 2025 and became an important piece of the Pack lineup during his two seasons in Pueblo.
Perhaps the biggest loss from last season's roster is Dosiere, as the Frenchman concluded his career as one of the most decorated golfers in program history.
Dosiere put together a record-setting final season for the ThunderWolves, establishing a new CSU Pueblo single-season record with a 70.69 scoring average. He also captured one individual tournament title and finished the season ranked No. 26 nationally. Dosiere capped his final RMAC Championship by tying Wyatt for sixth individually.
Despite losing a decorated group to graduation, the Pack will have plenty of experience to lean on as it looks to remain among the top programs in the RMAC and region.
Kenneally, Leydon Named Preseason All-RMAC
Leading the group of returners are senior Callum Kenneally and redshirt senior Kyle Leydon, who were both selected to the 2026-27 Preseason All-RMAC Team.
Kenneally, a native of Duns, Scotland, and Leydon, a Commerce City, Colorado native, each earned Second Team All-RMAC honors following the 2025-26 season. CSU Pueblo's two Preseason All-RMAC selections are tied for the most of any institution in the conference.
The veteran duo will be counted on to help lead a new-look ThunderWolves lineup as Koschke and the Pack look to replace the production left behind by Wyatt, Pizzorno and Dosiere.
Koschke, Pack Look to Continue Postseason Streak
The 2026-27 season will also mark a new chapter for Koschke, who has taken over as CSU Pueblo's Director of Golf and will oversee both the ThunderWolves' men's and women's programs.
While Koschke has returned to the helm of the women's program for the first time since the 2022-23 season, he continues to lead a men's program that has become a consistent postseason contender.
Under Koschke, the ThunderWolves have made nine consecutive postseason appearances, and the Pack will enter the new campaign looking to extend that streak to double digits.
Despite the loss of several decorated veterans, CSU Pueblo will once again enter the season with high expectations. With Kenneally and Leydon anchoring the returning group, the ThunderWolves will look to reload and once again compete for an RMAC Championship and a spot in NCAA postseason play.
