PUEBLO, Colo. (May 29, 2025) – The Colorado State University Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 features six former student-athletes and contributor Jim Brooks, who is the longtime radio voice for ThunderWolves football and men's and women's basketball.
The 16th annual Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet is one of three on-campus events held during CSU Pueblo's Homecoming weekend celebration set for October 10-11, 2025. The Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held in the Occhiato Student Center Ballroom on the CSU Pueblo campus on October 10.
CSU Pueblo volleyball will host Colorado School of Mines for its Alumni festivities at the same time as the banquet with the 2025 Hall of Fame inductees being recognized during the 2 p.m. homecoming football game at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl on October 11 against Fort Lewis College.

Here are the biographies of this year's Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Inductees:
Reco Burt (Men's Basketball, 1993-95) – In his two seasons with the then University of Southern Colorado, Burt averaged 16.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocked shots per game as he competed in 50 games for the then-Indians … He pulled down a career 19 rebounds on Jan. 8, 1994, against UCCS … His 15 career double-doubles rank fourth all-time in program history … His career field goal percentage of 60.0 percent missed qualifying among the all-time leaders by 28 made 2-pointers, but the 60.0 percent field goal percentage would've ranked second all-time in program history … His single season field goal percentages of 60.0 in 1993-94 and 60.1 in 1994-95 are ranked 10th and 11th on the school's single-season charts … Named a two-time All-Conference selection, Burt was the Colorado Collegiate Conference's Most Outstanding Player as a senior in 1995 … Along with being the Colorado Collegiate Conference's Most Outstanding Player, Burt was also named an All-American that same season.
Rachel Espinoza (Women's Basketball, 2007-11) – A four-year letterwinner for the the Pack, Espinoza scored 1,484 points in 117 career games and averaged 12.7 points per game … Along with scoring 1,484 career points, she also pulled down 492 career rebounds (4.2 per game), dished out 386 assists (3.3 per game), and collected 225 steals (1.9 per game) … She shot 48 percent from the field, 35 percent from the 3-point line and 83.4 percent from the free throw line, which is a CSU Pueblo all-time school record … She currently ranks fifth in career scoring and third in both career assists and steals … As a freshman in 2007-08, she made the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) All-Tournament Team and was named the RMAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player as a sophomore in 2008-09 … During her career, the ThunderWolves women's basketball program posted an 80-41 overall record with three RMAC Tournament titles and three NCAA Regional appearances … She led the Pack in scoring in each of her final three seasons and was an All-RMAC selection in each of those three seasons … Following her playing career, she served as an assistant coach on head coach

Bryan Hawkins (Wrestling, 1983-85) – Hawkins became the school's first-ever national champion wrestler when he won the 126-pound crown at the 1985 NAIA National Championships in Jamestown, N.D. … With a 42-5 record during the 1984-85 season, Hawkins posted a 12-7 win over Northern State's Doyle Everson to win the 126-pound national title after gaining a spot in the finals by defeating Mark Peterson of Central Washington 16-9 in the semifinals … Combined with Mike Guenther's title at 177-pounds, the then University of Southern Colorado (USC) placed second as a team at the NAIA Championships with 80.5 points behind first place Central Oklahoma (124.25 points) … Hawkins was a two-time RMAC Champion at 126-pounds as he helped guide the then-Indians to two straight RMAC Championships … He also competed at the 1984 NAIA National Championships and tallied a 30-win season on the mat.
Marcelo Laguera (Men's Cross Country/Track & Field, 2015-20) – One of now 11 individuals at SCSC/USC/CSUP to win an NCAA Division II National Championship as Laguera won the 2018 Men's Cross Country National Title … In his CSU Pueblo career, Laguera landed atop event podiums 12 times, placed second eight times and finished third four times … Laguera won three RMAC gold medals at events in 2018 (Outdoor 5,000 meters), 2019 (Outdoor 5,000 meters) and 2020 (Indoor 3,000 meters) … In 2019, he was the National Runner-up in the NCAA Division II Outdoor 10,000 meters … He was a four-time All-American in cross country and track and field … Laguera was named a 2019 CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-American and was the 2018 USTFCCCA Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year … Additionally, he was the 2020 USTFCCCA South Central Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year … Currently, Laguera is ranked 226th in the world in men's road running and 431st in men's marathon and finished sixth in the 10,000 meters at the 2023 Pan Am Games held in Santiago, Chile.
Molly Rohrer (Women's Basketball, 2015-18) – Rohrer was a three-season starter and a two-year team captain for the ThunderWolves women's basketball program … She was named the RMAC Player of the Year in both 2017 and 2018 and was the RMAC Freshman of the Year in 2016 … In addition, she was a three-time First-Team All-RMAC selection, a two-time Academic All-RMAC selection and an RMAC All-Tournament Team selection … Rohrer was also a two-time D2CCA First-Team All-South Central Region honoree and became just the second student-athlete to earn both RMAC Player of the Year and RMAC Academic Player of the Year in the same season in 2018 … She averaged 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in her final season with the Pack in 2018 … Was the RMAC leader in blocked shots all three seasons and held the school record for career blocks (207), single season blocks (77) and blocked shots in a game (8) before
Alisha Little set new records in those three marks during the 2024-25 season … Left the program as the fifth all-time leading scorer with 1,374 points and is now the program's No. 7 all-time leading scorer … She also ranks fourth in career field goals made (538) and second in career blocked shots (207) … One of two player in school history to block 200 or more shots in a career … Earned eight RMAC Player of the Week honors in her Pack career (six defensive, two offensive) … Was a member of the 2016-17 Pack women's basketball team that was inducted into the CSU Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
Andrea Tuck (Women's Track & Field, 2012-16) – Tuck is a school record holder in two indoor events (60-meter hurdles and pentathlon) and three outdoor events (100-meter hurdles, 4-x-400 meter relay, and heptathlon) … She is considered CSU Pueblo's greatest all-around women's track and field athlete … An NCAA All-American, Tuck was an RMAC Champion in the pentathlon in 2017 and a member of the school's 4-x-400 meter outdoor winning relay team in 2016 … Overall, she had six medal performances in RMAC Indoor and Outdoor events … In 2017, she placed seventh in the pentathlon at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.
Jim Brooks (Broadcaster, 1987-1991, 2010-present) – Contributor – The "Voice of the Pack" for 19 seasons, Brooks has been covering Southern Colorado sports since 1981 … He has not missed calling a Pack football game since 2010 and has covered 98 percent of all the RMAC games and almost all postseason games in men's and women's basketball … A 1984 graduate of then University of Southern Colorado with a mass communications degree, Brooks lettered for four seasons in golf at USC and helped lead the then-Indians to the 1981 RMAC Men's Golf title … He was also an All-Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Golf Association pick twice for the Tribe … A 1980 Pueblo South graduate, Brooks earned eight Colt letters in golf (4), basketball (2) and baseball (2) … He was also a member of the Colts' 1978 State Championship Golf Team and pitched for the 1979 State Champion Pueblo Elks Legion A Club … Brooks was the play-by-play voice for CNM Sports (Pueblo Community College) and broadcast high school football games for 24 seasons (1996-2019) … A four-time Pueblo City Golf Champion (1990, 1993, 1994, and 1996), Brooks was also second eight times and third five times … He was a nine-time Memorial Day Two-Man Champion with former Pack players Rich Riesner (8) and Steve Ivan (1).
