PUEBLO, Colo. (August 11, 2026) – Colorado State University Pueblo Athletics has announced a new partnership with KTSC REV 89.5 FM – The Revolution to serve as the flagship radio home for ThunderWolf Athletics during the 2026-27 academic year.
As part of the agreement, REV 89.5 will broadcast every CSU Pueblo football game, along with all men's and women's basketball games throughout the upcoming season. The station will also air the weekly Pack Football Coaches Show, which returns to ThunderZone Pizza & Tap House and will air live from 6-7 p.m. each Wednesday evening during the football season, with the exception of the first two shows, which will air on Tuesday, Aug. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The partnership with REV 89.5, which has served the Pueblo community for more than 50 years, was established after CSU Pueblo's previous flagship station, iHeartMedia's Fox Sports Pueblo 1350 AM, elected not to renew its agreement with the University.
"We're excited to partner with REV 89.5 to continue delivering ThunderWolf Athletics to our fans while creating meaningful hands-on learning opportunities for our students. This is a true campus partnership that strengthens both our athletic and academic missions," said
Dr. Paul Plinske, CSU Pueblo Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships.
Beyond expanding coverage of ThunderWolf Athletics, the partnership will create hands-on learning opportunities for students in CSU Pueblo's Department of Media & Entertainment. Students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience by assisting with football and basketball broadcasts, the weekly Pack Football Coaches Show and other live productions throughout the academic year.
The collaboration will provide aspiring broadcasters, producers and media professionals with valuable real-world experience while supporting the University's commitment to experiential learning.
The partnership will feature veteran broadcasters Jim Brooks, a member of the CSU Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025, and Joe Cervi, who will once again team up to call all ThunderWolf football games. Brooks also returns as the radio play-by-play voice for both the men's and women's basketball programs.
"REV 89.5 is proud to become the broadcast home of CSU Pueblo Athletics," said Matthew Garcia, CSU Pueblo Department of Art and Creative Media Interim Chair and Associate Professor. "We believe this partnership will strengthen the more than 50-year legacy of KTSC REV 89.5 serving the Pueblo community. This partnership aligns with our mission of serving the campus and Pueblo community while providing our students with real-world professional broadcasting experiences."
In addition to traditional over-the-air broadcasts on 89.5 FM, all game broadcasts will be available through REV 89.5's online streaming platform, allowing ThunderWolf fans to listen from anywhere.
REV 89.5 will also have its radio broadcasts simulcast through CSU Pueblo's RMAC Network video stream. The simulcast will allow RMAC Network viewers to hear the REV 89.5 radio call while watching ThunderWolf home games online.
The 2026-27 broadcast schedule begins on Tuesday, Aug. 25, with the first edition of the Pack Football Coaches Show at ThunderZone Pizza & Tap House. Live game coverage opens two days later on Thursday, Aug. 27, when CSU Pueblo kicks off the football season by hosting Central Missouri at 6 p.m. at the ThunderBowl.
Football broadcasts will begin with a 30-minute pregame show prior to kickoff, while men's and women's basketball broadcasts will begin approximately 15 minutes before tip-off.
