CSU Pueblo Football Announces 2025 Recruiting Class

PUEBLO, Colo. (February 5, 2025) – Colorado State University Pueblo third-year head coach Philip Vigil has announced the addition of 38 new student-athletes who signed National Letters of Intent during 2025 National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The 38 high school players that signed on Wednesday join 20 transfer football players that signed in December to make up the ThunderWolves' 2025 football recruiting class.

"I am extremely excited to welcome these terrific student-athletes to CSU Pueblo, where they will continue the proud tradition of excellence in our Pack Football program. Our program has a rich history of developing not only outstanding athletes but also leaders who excel in the classroom and the community," CSU Pueblo head football coach Philip Vigil said. "These young men will embody the values that have made CSU Pueblo Football so special, and I have no doubt that they will represent us with pride both on and off the field. We are thrilled to have them join our family and look forward to watching them grow, compete, and contribute to the Pack Football legacy."

The ThunderWolves' 2025 recruiting class includes 27 players from the state of Colorado, along with 14 players from Texas, six players from Arizona, four players from California, and one player each from Alaska, Maryland, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, New Mexico, and Oregon. In addition, Vigil and his coaching staff added 19 transfers, including four safeties, four defensive tackles, two offensive linemen, two wide receivers, two quarterbacks, two running backs, one linebacker, one cornerback, one defensive end, and one kicker/punter.

The Pack's 37 high school signees received a combined 47 NCAA Division I offers, and 30 offers from other Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools and posted an average GPA of 3.40.

Among the position breakdown of the recruiting class, there are 22 on offense and 34 on defense. The class features four quarterbacks, five running backs, six receivers, and six offensive linemen, while on defense, there are 14 defensive backs (11 safeties, three cornerbacks), 10 defensive tackles, four defensive ends, and six linebackers and one specialist.
