COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Swimming team is set to travel to Colorado College this weekend for their 2025 opener in a dual with the Tigers at the Schlessman Natatorium on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM.

Carla Sanchez Guareno (Tarragona, Spain) had an incredible finish to the fall season, breaking numerous personal and school records at the Trinity Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. Sanchez Guareno broke school records in the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke. She also had personal bests in the 200 IM, 200 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, and the 50 Backstroke.
Over the three-day meet, the ThunderWolves broke 31 personal bests en route to a runner-up performance to end the semester.
CSU Pueblo sits in fifth place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference after accumulating 537.65.
Paola C Wu (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) leads the way for the ThunderWolves, as the senior has accumulated 622.45 total points this season. Sanchez Guareno has 619.25 points, while
Laci Denn (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Mainland Regional) has 615.80 points.
