Women's Golf; Lim Wins RMAC Coach of the Year, Severin Wins Player of the Year, Ekberg Wins Freshman of the Year

Zoey Rodriguez, Freya Constable, and Anju Ogi all named all-conference

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday Morning that Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Golf swept the three major awards from the conference, along with all five top-five members being named all-conference.

Head Coach Tammy Lim was named the RMAC Coach of the Year. In her first full season as head coach, Lim led the Pack to their second straight RMAC Championship. Lim won her first tournament as a head coach at the Southern Colorado Open in Pueblo on March 24. She also led the Pack to their second straight postseason berth at the NCAA Division II West Region in Stockton, Calif.

"I am honored and grateful to have gotten this award" said Lim. "More importantly I am so happy to see Kylie get player of the year, and Lisa get freshman of the year. It is huge for those girls and I am so proud of them! Super excited to keep this going for the program."

Kylie Severin (Aurora, Colo./Vista Peak Prep) was named the unamious RMAC Player of the Year, along with first team honors. Severin dominated her competition this season as the senior had three individual wins, five top-three's, and was ranked 32nd in the nation in 27 total rounds. Severin was the captain of the Pack Women's Golf Team and led the Pack to back-to-back conference titles and consecutive postseason berths. Severin finished the season with a 73.8 scoring average.

"I have had the best four years at CSU Pueblo and worked so hard to get to this point" said Severin. Severin also said, "I am so grateful for this ward and all the support I have gotten from my team and Tammy. I could not have done it without them."

Lisa Ekberg (Kungsbacka, Sweden) was named the RMAC Freshman of the year, along with first team honors. Ekberg was an outstanding complement to Severin, as the Swedish sensation concluded the season with a 76.9 scoring average. Ekberg highlighted her freshman season with a third place finish at the RMAC Championship to ensure a first-team all conference bid. 

"I am really happy with my first year here in Pueblo. The spring semester has been an amazing experience with the team" said Ekberg. "Ekberg also noted, "I look forward to the upcoming years of more gofl and even better results."

In addition, Zoey Rodriguez (Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo South) was named to First Team All-RMAC after an outstanding season, finishing with a 77.2 scoring average, and one individual win at teh Nick Turner Invitational.

Freya Constable (Edinburgh, Scotland/Boroughmuir), and Anju Ogi (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West) both were named to Second Team All-RMAC after fantastic seasons for the Pack.
