SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Golf picked up right where they left off to begin the 2025–26 campaign, dominating the opening round of the Travis Roy Memorial hosted by South Dakota Mines at the Powder Horn Golf Club in Sheridan, Wyoming. The ThunderWolves set the tone with a team score of 1-over 289, racing out to a commanding 15-shot lead after day one.
The event is staged at Powder Horn Golf Club, a private 27-hole Dick Bailey design managed by Troon Golf. Nestled in the western Rocky Mountains, the club embraces a casual western style and provides a picturesque championship setting that has quickly become one of Wyoming's premier golf destinations.
Freshman standout Thale Victoria Estensen (Norway) once again led the charge for CSU Pueblo, carding a 2-under 70 on the par-72 layout. Estensen, who placed inside the top five at the team's season opener in Denver, looks poised to pace the Pack to their second straight tournament title.
Right on her heels was senior captain Freya Constable (Scotland), who posted a strong 1-under 71 to put herself in the individual title conversation. Sophomore Yale Lee (England) continued her steady play with an even-par 72, while junior Lisa Ekberg (Sweden) added a 76 (+4). Rounding out the lineup, junior transfer Olivia Heard (UK) shot a 78 (+6) in her second tournament with the Pack.
The Pack return to the course Tuesday at Powder Horn GC with momentum firmly in their corner, seeking to close out another victory in Wyoming.
