LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Colorado State University Pueblo Men's Golf team is in 15th place after the second round of the 2024 South Central/West Super Region on the New Mexico State University Golf Course.
The Pack once again survived tough course conditions at the NMSU course. NMSU GC this week is playing at 7242 yards on the 75.0 course rating. CSU Pueblo shot nine-over (293) in round two.
The ThunderWolves were led once again by their Captain
Jamie Roberts (Kinross, Scotland/Kinross), as the senior grinded out another solid round, shooting one-under (71) to put himself in contention individually to advance to the National Championship. Roberts sits in a tie for 18th individually.
Jeffrey Nelson (Commerce City, Colo./Prairie View) put together another good round, as the Colorado native shot even-par (71) on the day. Nelson had a great back-nine to get things back on track, shooting two-under coming in.
Archie Wyatt (Edinburgh, Scotland),
Colt Tenpenny (Fulshear, Texas/Katy Thompkins), and
Paraic McGrath (Galway, Ireland) all fired round of five-over (76) to round out the scoring for the Pack.
