COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Thanks to winning its first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title since 2018, 28 members of the Colorado State University Pueblo football team earned postseason honors from the RMAC on Wednesday as the league released its 2024 All-RMAC Teams, including senior receiver
Reggie Retzlaff (Corona, Calif./Riverside City College) being named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Retzlaff becomes the fourth member of the ThunderWolves football program to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors and first since running back Cameron McDondle took home the accolade in 2015. The other Pack players to earn Offensive Player of the Year accolades were quarterbacks Chris Bonner in 2013 and Ross Dausin in 2012.
Along with naming Retzlaff as the Offensive Player of the Year, the Pack had a league-best eight First-Team All-RMAC selections headlined by Retzlaff. The other Pack players named First-Team All-RMAC were senior running back

Zack Rakowsky (Loveland, Colo./Loveland) was selected as one of two punt returners on the first team.
Bone is a three-time First-Team All-RMAC selection, while Retzlaff was a Second-Team All-RMAC selection last year. Chapple, Fini, Rakowsky and Russell were all Honorable Mention selections in 2023.
Retzlaff earns his Offensive Player of the Year honor after leading the RMAC in both receiving touchdowns (12) and receiving yards per game (116.9) and was second in the RMAC in receiving yards (1,169), receptions per game (8.4) and all-purpose yards per game (117.2). On the season, Retzlaff, who was a two-time RMAC Offensive Player of the Week during the season, caught a single-season school record 64 passes for a single-season school record 1,169 yards. His 12 touchdown receptions are also tied for tops on the school's single-season chart. Retzlaff caught at least seven passes in six games, tallied 100 or more receiving yards in a game six times, including a single-game school record 241 yards in the Pack's 35-6 season-opening win at South Dakota Mines, and had two or more touchdown catches in four games. He also ranks in the Top 10 nationally in Division II in touchdown receptions, receiving yards, and receiving yards per game, and his 24 career touchdown passes in two seasons with the Pack are tied for tops on the school's all-time chart, while he is one of just two Pack players in school history to record 1,000 or more receiving yards in a season. In RMAC play, Retzlaff caught 50 passes for 854 yards and hauled in 10 touchdown passes.
Russell earns his spot on the first team at running back after leading the league in rushing yards (1,115), rushing touchdowns (11), total touchdowns (13), rushing yards per carry (7.34), rushing yards per game (111.5) and all-purpose yards per game (127.0). On the season, Russell carried the ball 152 times for 1,115 yards and had seven games with 100 or more rushing yards, including a high game of 168 yards at Adams State. He also scored two or more touchdowns in a game three times, including scoring three rushing scores against Colorado Mesa. His 1,115 rushing yards are sixth on the school's single-season chart, while the seven touchdowns are tied for seventh on the school's single-season chart. Since arriving before last season from Eastern New Mexico, Russell, who was named an RMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 23, is 13th on the school's career rushing chart with 1,700 yards and his 1,115 rushing yards this season ranks 10th in Division II football.
Chapple and Ethridge earn their First-Team All-RMAC selection on the offensive line after playing in and starting all 11 games at center and playing in and starting 10 games at left tackle respectively for the Pack. Chapple, who was named the RMAC Offensive Freshman of the Year last season, and Ethridge helped the Pack offense finish the 2024 regular season leading the RMAC in scoring offense (41.7 points per game), passing offense (311.7 yards per game) and was second in total offense (472.0 yards per game) and fifth in rushing offense (160.3 yards per game). Chapple, Ethridge and his offensive linemates led the league and are 25th nationally in fewest sacks allowed as they allowed just 12 in 11 games for an average of 1.09 per game. The Pack offensive attack gained 5,192 yards of touchdowns, scored 61 touchdowns, scored 459 points, and outscored their opponents by a 21.9 margin.
Fini, who is a two-time All-RMAC selection, earns his First-Team All-RMAC selection on the defensive line after recording 25 total tackles, eight tackles for 27 yards in losses and five sacks. In addition, he had two quarterback hurries in 2024. His 8.0 tackles for loss were second-most on the team, while his five sacks were second on the team and ninth-most among RMAC players. Fini had at least three tackles in five games and tallied four games with at least a tackle for a loss, including a season-high 3.5 tackles for a loss and two sacks at Adams State.
Bone earns his third straight First-Team All-RMAC honor after tying for the team lead in total tackles with 73, including 43 solo stops, and added 4.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, six pass breakups, and one quarterback hurry. He was fifth in the league in solo tackles per game with 4.3 and fourth in tackles per game at 7.3. He is one of 19 players in school history to record 200 or more career tackles. On the season, Bone, who was a candidate for the 2023 Cliff Harris Award and is a two-time All-American, recorded seven or more tackles in a game seven times, including a high of 10 tackles against both Grand Valley State and Black Hills State.
English earns First-Team All-RMAC honors in his second season as a defensive back with the Pack. On the season, English was tied for the team lead and tied for fifth in the RMAC in interceptions with three as he averaged 0.3 interceptions per game. He also tallied 17 total tackles, including 11 solo stops, and added eight pass breakups, forced a fumble, and had a tackle for a loss. English's 11 passes defended were tops in the league as he averaged 1.2 passes defended per game.
Rakowsky, who was named an Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection last season, is one of the two punt returners named to the All-RMAC First Team this season. On the year, Rakowsky has returned 25 punts for 201 yards and is averaging 8.0 yards per return and had a high return of 36 yards against Adams State. He is sixth in the league in punt returns with his 8.0 average per return. Along with his punt returning prowess, Rakowsky has also caught 28 passes for 371 yards and is averaging 13.3 yards per reception and had had two touchdown receptions. In addition, he is also 1-for-1 passing for 25 yards and a touchdown at Fort Lewis.
The Pack were one of seven league schools to have multiple First-Team All-RMAC selections as along with the Pack's league-leading eight selections, Colorado School of Mines was next with seven selections and Western Colorado was third with four selections. Colorado Mesa had three selections, while Black Hills State, Chadron State, and South Dakota Mines had two players named first team honorees.
Along with having a league-best eight first-team selections, the Pack also had a league-leading 28 players earn All-RMAC accolades. Western Colorado was second with 20 overall selections, while Mines was next with 17 overall selections. Colorado Mesa and South Dakota Mines were tied for fourth with 14 overall selections and Chadron State was sixth with 13 overall selections.
The Pack had five Second-Team All-RMAC selections with four members of the defense and one offensive member earning recognition. On offense, junior offensive lineman
Domingo Prince II (Aurora, Colo./Cherry Creek) earns repeat second-team honors at offensive line. Meanwhile, on the defense, the Pack players honored were senior defensive lineman
Makeah Scippio (Colorado Springs, Colo./Harrison), senior defensive lineman
James Turrentine (Elk Grove, Calif./American River College), sophomore linebacker
Gary Seidenberger (Fredericksburg, Texas/Fredericksburg) and junior defensive back
Keith Mckaney (Avondale, Ariz./Desert Edge). Turrentine is a repeat second-team selection, while Seidenberger was named the Defensive Freshman of the Year last season and was also an Honorable Mention All-RMAC honoree. Scippio and Mckaney also were honorable mention selections in 2023.

Along with Retzlaff, the other RMAC individual football award winners for 2024 were Western Colorado redshirt junior defensive lineman Ricky Freymond being named the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year, while Colorado School of Mines redshirt junior punter Blake Doud was named the RMAC Special Teams Player of the Year and Western Colorado's Jas Bains repeated as the RMAC Coach of the Year. The RMAC Freshmen of the Year were New Mexico Highlands running back Valeti Tevita on offense and Western Colorado outside linebacker Cooper Cameron on defense.

Philip Vigil, enter the NCAA Division II Playoff sporting a 10-1 overall record and a 9-0 mark in the RMAC. The Pack earned the No. 1 seed in Super Region Four and earned a first round playoff bye and will host the winner of Minnesota State-Augustana in a second-round playoff game on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. in the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
