DENVER, Colo. – The Colorado State University Pueblo football team had 34 players named to the 2025 Colorado Chapter/National Football Foundation's (NFFCC) Academic All-Colorado Team selections, which were announced Thursday afternoon by the organization.
The ThunderWolves placed 26 players on the first team and another eight on the honorable mention squad. The total of 34 players selected was fourth among the Centennial State's 10 football programs across all NCAA Divisions. The Pack's 26 first-team selections were tied with Northern Colorado for the third most in the state. First-Team Academic All-Colorado selections maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above, while Honorable Mention All-Colorado selections have a GPA ranging from 3.0 to 3.29.
Overall, a record 299 student-athletes were named Academic All-Colorado (a record 204 first-team, 95 honorable mention) this season. Fourteen members of the first team were also selected either first- or second-team All-Colorado for their play on the field in 2025, including two of the players of the year: Western Colorado quarterback Drew Nash (offense) and Colorado State punter Bryan Hanson (special teams).
Colorado Mesa led the way with 56 overall selections, including a state-best 43 first-team honorees. Colorado School of Mines was second with 43 selections, including 30 first team selections, while the University of Colorado was third with 40 selections, including 20 first teamers. Colorado State was fifth with 30 selections (21 first team), Northern Colorado was sixth with 29 selections (26 first team), and Western Colorado was seventh with 23 selections (10 first team). Fort Lewis was eighth with 22 selections (16 first team), Air Force was ninth with 17 selections (7 first team), and Adams State was 10th with five selections, all of which were first teamers.

Zack Rakowsky (Loveland, Colo./Loveland) was one of eight finalists for the Colorado Chapter/NFF Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The average grade point average for the eight finalists for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award was computed to be 3.71.
Rakowsky, who is a two-time CSC Academic All-American in 2025 and 2023, and was an Honorable Mention All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selection in 2023 and 2025 and earned First-Team All-RMAC honors in 2024, carries a 3.661 cumulative GPA in Health Sciences, caught 49 passes for 560 yards and had one touchdown reception, and averaged 11.4 yards per catch and 56.0 receiving yards per game. He also returned four punts for 24 yards and averaged 6.0 yards per punt return, and tallied 584 all-purpose yards and averaged 58.4 all-purpose yards per game. He closed out his CSU Pueblo career second on the school's all-time reception chart (161), fourth in career receiving yards (2,134), and tied for eighth in career touchdown receptions (13). He is one of four receivers in school history with 2,000 or more receiving yards and returned 33 career punts for 270 yards and averaged 8.2 yards per punt return in his career and tallied 17 games with four or more receptions, including double-digit reception games and five games with 100 or more receiving yards, including a high of 11 receptions for 118 yards in this year's regular season finale at home against Chadron State. Rakowsky was a four-time member of the RMAC Academic Honor Roll and was named a First-Team RMAC All-Academic Team selection in 2025.
Air Force Academy senior tight end Bruin Fleischmann was named the 2025 Colorado Chapter/NFF Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy and carries a 3.45 cumulative grade point average in his major, Business Management.
