Men's Lacrosse Has Six Players Earn All-RMAC Honors

Ferrie Repeats as First-Team All-RMAC Honoree

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo placed six players on the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Men's Lacrosse First-Team All-Conference Team that was announced Thursday afternoon by the league office.
 
The ThunderWolves, who face No. 2 seeded Westminster in Thursday evening's RMAC Tournament semifinal hosted by Colorado Mesa, named First-Team All-RMAC Men's Lacrosse selections were graduate student goalie Ethan Ferrie (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe), junior defender Cornelius Healy (Keller, Texas/Keller), freshman LSM Alex Kragen (Pleasanton, Calif./Amador Valley), freshman attacker Lane Lessley (Lakewood, Colo./Lakewood), senior midfielder Ian Noonan (Wilmington, Del./University of Tampa) and junior defender Dalton Vande Lune (Erie, Colo./Erie).
 
The All-RMAC Men's Lacrosse teams were voted on by the league's six head coaches and the head coaches couldn't vote for their own players.
 
Ferrie repeats as a First-Team All-RMAC selection as a goalie after recording 204 saves and leading the league in both save percentage (.524 percent) and saves per game (15.8) and recorded 30 ground balls and scored a goal earlier this season against Maryville (Mo.) University. Ferrie, who also a three-time RMAC Defensive Player of the Week this season, holds the school's all-time record for saves (555) and tallied a single game school record 29 saves in last Friday's regular season finale at 12th-ranked Colorado Mesa.
 
Healy earns his first career All-RMAC honor as a defender after leading the Pack in both ground balls (35) and caused turnovers (15) and had an assist and took four shots with three of those shots coming on goal. He had three or more ground balls in a game six times, including a season high eight against Colorado College and had two or more caused turnovers in five games, including a high of four against Colorado College.
 
Kragen earns First-Team All-RMAC honors at LSM after playing in 12 games and recording 17 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and added an assist and took two shots, both of which were on goal.
 
Lessley, who was one of four freshmen on the All-RMAC First-Team, was selected All-RMAC after leading the team in goals (19), points (27), shots (67), shots on goal (36). Lessley scored two or more goals in a game in five games, including three hat tricks. In addition, he took five or more shots in a game seven times, including a season-high 10 shots at home against Adams State.
 
Noonan, who was a Second-Team All-RMAC selection last season, moves up to First-Team All-RMAC honors as a midfielder after scoring five goals and added 10 assists for 15 points. He also recorded 13 ground balls, scored three man-up goals and caused four turnovers. His 10 assists were second most on the team.
 
Vande Lune earns First-Team All-RMAC honors as a defender after recording nine ground balls and causing six turnovers. He also took 16 face-off opportunities on the year.

Joining the six CSU Pueblo players on the All-RMAC First-Team were Colorado Mesa redshirt junior attacker Jed Brummett, Colorado Mesa junior attacker Hunter Holcomb, Colorado Mesa redshirt junior attacker AJ Switzer, Colorado Mesa junior attacker Phil Peterson, Westminster senior attacker Merritt McMahon, Westminster freshman attacker Luke Sillstrop, Westminster senior attacker Skyler Weathers, Westminster freshman midfielder Camden Rossi, Westminster senior midfielder Mike Speath, Colorado Mesa redshirt senior defender Vinny Curci, Colorado Mesa redshirt junior defender Jake Eickelman, Colorado Mesa redshirt senior defender Hayden Scherr, Westminster senior defender Carson Capps, Westminster senior defender Cello Clark, Westminster junior defender Tim McGuire, Westminster senior SSDM Gavin Pina, Westminster junior LSM Jaxen Wigger, Colorado Mesa junior face-off specialist Dylan Checketts, Westminster junior face-off specialist Hagan Buchanan and Westminster junior goalie Jacob Miller.
 
Along with announcing the 2023 All-RMAC Teams, the league also released its individual award winners as Switzer and McMahon were named RMAC Co-Attackers of the Year, while Rossi was named the RMAX Midfielder of the Year and Eickelman and McGuire were named RMAC Co-Defenders of the Year. Miller was named the RMAC Goalie of the Year and Sillstrop was named the RMAC Freshman of the Year. The final award went to Westminster's Joe Kerwin as he was named the RMAC Coach of the Year after helping lead the Griffins to a No. 2 seed in the RMAC Tournament and a 7-7 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the league.
