Yasmine Hernandez (Jr., Johnstown, Colo.) won the 800m run at the Colorado Running Company UCCS Invite Saturday when she crossed the finish line in 2:12.65.

Her effort established an NCAA provisional time and was converted down to 2:09.95 to miss the auto time (2:08.20) by less than two seconds. She ranks second in NCAA Division II this early indoor season.

The indoor track & field team will next compete Jan. 24-25 at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Collegiate Invitational hosted by University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M.
