Lauren Fairchild (Jr., McKinney, Tex.) helped the ThunderWolves women total 15 points at the championships after she was crowned NCAA Division II Indoor Champion in the long jump.

Fairchild set the tone early and on her second jump of six, recorded a leap of 20-1 (6.12m) that went unmatched by the competition.

As a team the 15 points is the most at the indoor championships and the 12th-place finish is the highest in program history among indoor and outdoor NCAA championships. The 1993 indoor team tied for 13th (8 points) for the previous program best. The women have scored at the indoor meet just three times with the other occurring in 2017.
