Rion Santamaria (Jr., Yorba Linda, Calif.) led the RMAC with a .727 batting average (8-for-11), an .800 on-base percentage, and a 1.455 slugging percentage over opening weekend. His nine runs scored through three games also leads the RMAC by two runs.
Santamaria matched an RMAC record and set a Pack record with three triples in one game, Sunday, including two in the same inning. He had four triples over the weekend, three more than any other player in the RMAC. He also added six RBIs. He drew four walks and reached base at least three times in all three games of the series.
Thanks to his performance, the Pack set a D-II record by scoring at least 15 runs per game and averaging 20.0 runs per game. CSU-Pueblo batted around five times over the weekend including twice in its first inning of the season.
