Tomia Johnson (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) helped lead the women's basketball team to a 2-1 record last week including wins over MSU Denver and New Mexico Highlands. She averaged 8.0 points per game along with 2.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
She shot 63.6 percent from the field and hit a mark of 85.7 percent from behind the three-point line.
Friday against No. 8 Mines, Johnson scored six points and went 2-for-3 from the arc. She hauled in one rebound and tallied two assists in the Pack's 61-45 loss to the Orediggers.
The next night versus MSU Denver, a 73-69 Pack win, Johnson scored six points and finished tied for the team lead in steals with six takeaways. She went 3-of-4 at the charity stripe and totaled four rebounds.
Tuesday at home against New Mexico Highlands, Johnson recorded over 27 minutes on the court and was a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point land to go with her six dimes.
Up next, the women head to Gunnison on Friday and will take on Western Colorado starting at 5:30PM inside Paul Wright Gym.
