ThunderWolves Open 2026-27 Season Ranked No. 19 in Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. – Colorado State University Pueblo men's golf will begin the 2026-27 season ranked among the nation's best, as the ThunderWolves came in at No. 19 in the Preseason Bushnell/Golfweek NCAA Division II Coaches Poll released by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

The ThunderWolves received 120 points in the preseason poll and are one of three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference programs ranked inside the national Top 25.

Colorado Christian leads the RMAC contingent at No. 18 with 129 points, followed closely by CSU Pueblo at No. 19, while Colorado Mesa enters the season ranked No. 22 with 105 points. Colorado School of Mines also received votes in the preseason poll.

The preseason national ranking continues a sustained run of success for the ThunderWolves under head coach Josh Koschke. CSU Pueblo has made nine consecutive postseason appearances under Koschke and advanced to the NCAA Division II West/South Central Super Regional last season in Northern California.

The Pack will look to continue that postseason streak in 2026-27 despite having to replace several key pieces from last season's lineup, including Archie Wyatt, Agustin Pizzorno and Marius Dosiere.

Wyatt capped his ThunderWolf career by qualifying as an individual for the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championships, while Pizzorno competed individually at the NCAA Championships in 2025.

Dosiere also concluded a decorated career with the Pack after posting a program-record 70.69 career scoring average. He recorded a tournament victory during his CSU Pueblo career and finished the 2025-26 campaign ranked No. 26 nationally.

Despite those departures, the ThunderWolves once again enter the season with national expectations as they look to remain among the top programs in both the RMAC and NCAA Division II.

Defending NCAA Division II National Champion Florida Southern earned the preseason No. 1 ranking after receiving 13 first-place votes and 430 points. Lee collected two first-place votes and sits second with 398 points, while Georgia Southwestern, Grand Valley State and Columbus State round out the Top 5.

Wingate, Nova Southeastern, Lincoln Memorial, Catawba and Central Oklahoma complete the preseason Top 10.
