LANCASTER, Pa. – Colorado State University Pueblo junior receiver Marcellus Honeycutt, Jr. (Aurora, Colo./Eastern Washington) has been named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List for the 2026 season.

Honeycutt was named to the Squad Team Offense on the Elite 100 Watch List from D2Football.com. Honeycutt was one of six players from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference recognized by D2Football.com.

The Elite 100 Watch List was chosen by the D2Football.com staff with input from numerous Division II coaches and professional football scouting veteran James Buchanan.

Honeycutt earns his Squad Team honor on the Elite 100 Team as he was named a Preseason All-RMAC selection after catching 29 passes for 564 yards and averaged a team-best 19.4 yards per reception and 47.0 receiving yards per game. He was third on the team with six touchdown receptions and tallied 13 plays of 20 or more yards, including catching an 88-yard touchdown pass at Western Colorado. That 88-yard pass reception was the Pack's longest offensive play of the 2025 season and fifth-longest in school history. During the 2025 campaign, Honeycutt was a Second-Team All-RMAC selection.

In addition to Honeycutt, the other players from the RMAC named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List were Western Colorado linebacker Ian Loomis (Second Team Defense), Colorado Mesa defensive back Gibson Leafgreen (Second Team Defense), Colorado School of Mines punter Lucas LeSieur (Second Team Special Teams), and Chadron State defensive lineman William Stemler (Squad Defense),

The Pack, who began preseason on Monday, Aug. 3, will kick off its 2026 schedule on Thursday, Aug. 27, with a 6 p.m. home non-conference contest in the ThunderBowl against the University of Central Missouri. The Central Missouri game will be the first of six home games this season for the Pack. The Pack collected a 29-24 win last season over the Mules in Warrensburg, Mo.
