The Pack men's basketball team, led by second-year head coach Zach Ruebesam, returns two starters and eight letterwinners from last season's 22-8 squad that finished tied for second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with a 15-5 league record and advanced to the semifinals of the RMAC Tournament before falling 57-56 to Colorado Mesa.
The 22 victories marked just the seventh 20-win season for the program since CSU Pueblo became a four-year school in 1962-63 and were the most wins in a season since the 2014-15 squad finished 21-9.
Meanwhile, the Pack women's basketball team, led by head coach Tommie Johnson, returns three starters and six letterwinners from last season's 13-15 squad that finished tied for ninth in the RMAC with a 9-11 conference record.
The ThunderWolves have also added five transfers to this year's roster, including former Pueblo West High School standouts, Kate Gallery and Gabby Louther. Gallery, a 6-foot-1 forward, transferred to CSU Pueblo from Regis, while Louther, a 5-foot-10 guard, joined the Pack after playing at UC San Diego the past four seasons.
This season, both CSU Pueblo basketball teams are scheduled to play 14 regular-season home games at Massari Arena, including 10 RMAC home contests.
