PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo Athletics, the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and the CSU Pueblo Alumni Association have joined forces to launch a year-long social media campaign highlighting the impact of the Pack Club and encouraging community support for student-athlete scholarships.
The campaign, which begins this summer and continues throughout the 2026-27 academic year, will feature video stories, social media reels and community testimonials from local business leaders, alumni, supporters and CSU Pueblo Athletics representatives. Through Facebook and Instagram, participants will share why they support the Pack Club and how investments in student-athletes strengthen both the university and the Pueblo community.
The Pack Club serves as the primary fundraising organization for CSU Pueblo Athletics and provides scholarship support for more than 500 student-athletes competing in 19 varsity sports. One hundred percent of Pack Club contributions go directly to student-athlete scholarships.
"At CSU Pueblo, our mission is to transform lives through education, competition and opportunity," said
Dr. Paul Plinske, vice president for athletics and strategic partnerships. "The Pack Club is the foundation of CSU Pueblo Athletics. Every dollar donated directly supports student-athlete scholarships and helps create opportunities for young men and women pursuing their academic and athletic goals. We are grateful for the community partners who are helping us share that message."
CSU Pueblo Athletics awards approximately $3 million in athletic financial aid each year. Student-athletes come to Pueblo from across Colorado, across the nation and around the world to compete, earn degrees and prepare for careers and leadership opportunities after graduation.
The campaign will spotlight the connections between CSU Pueblo Athletics and the broader Pueblo community while encouraging individuals and businesses to become members of the Pack Club.
"The success of CSU Pueblo student-athletes extends far beyond the playing field," said Duane Nava, President and CEO of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce. "We are pleased to support and help promote this campaign through our collaborative marketing efforts while highlighting the positive impact these student-athletes have on our community. We look forward to sharing this initiative throughout our business network and fostering meaningful donor partnerships that help support student success both on campus and beyond."
Throughout the campaign, supporters will share personal stories about the value of higher education, athletics and community engagement. Organizers hope the effort will increase awareness of the Pack Club's mission and inspire new and renewed membership support.
"Great things are happening at CSU Pueblo, and the momentum continues to build," Plinske said. "We invite the community to join our One Pack Family and help ensure our student-athletes have the resources they need to succeed in competition, in the classroom and in life."
