CSU Pueblo Student-Athletes Excel in the Classroom During 2025-26 Academic Year

183 Pack Student-Athletes Posted 4.0 GPA's During 2025-26 School Year

PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo student-athletes continued to demonstrate excellence in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, posting a combined 3.164 term GPA and earning a perfect 4.0 GPA from 183 Pack student-athletes during the academic year.

"The accomplishments of our student-athletes are a source of great pride for our department and university. I am equally grateful for the leadership and guidance of our coaching staff, whose commitment to developing the whole student-athlete continues to make a lasting impact," CSU Pueblo Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships Dr. Paul Plinske said. "This group exemplifies what makes CSU Pueblo special, and their academic excellence is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and pursuit of success both in competition and in the classroom."

CSU Pueblo's student-athletes recorded a 3.203 term GPA during the 2025 fall semester and then recorded a 3.123 term GPA during the recently completed 2026 spring semester. For the school year, 16 of the Pack's 20 athletic programs finished with 3.0 or better cumulative GPA's, with the women's golf team leading the way with a 3.866 GPA for the 2025-26 school year. On the men's side, the cross country team led the way with a 3.345 GPA for the 2025-26 school year.

Fourteen of CSU Pueblo's 20 athletic teams recorded a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the spring semester, with eight programs posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The women's golf team finished with a department-best 3.784 GPA during the spring semester. In addition to the women's golf team, the other programs with a GPA's over 3.5 for the spring semester were the women's cross country team (3.756 GPA), women's track and field team (3.723 GPA), women's tennis team (3.701 GPA), softball team (3.617 GPA), volleyball team (3.577), women's basketball team (3.570 GPA), and women's swimming team (3.527 GPA). The highest-performing men's program during the spring semester was the men's track and field team, which recorded a 3.289 GPA.

The other CSU Pueblo athletic programs that recorded over a 3.0 GPA for the 2025-26 academic year besides the women's golf and men's cross country team were the women's track and field team (3.693 GPA), women's cross country team (3.669 GPA), volleyball team (3.632 GPA), softball team (3.615 GPA), women's swimming team (3.589 GPA), women's basketball team (3.563 GPA), women's tennis team (3.537 GPA), women's soccer team (3.318 GPA), men's track and field team (3.299 GPA), men's golf team (3.255 GPA), men's soccer team (3.191 GPA), men's basketball team (3.104 GPA), women's lacrosse team (3.013 GPA), and the baseball team (3.004 GPA).

As we continue to elevate our department in all areas, the dedication our student-athletes have towards earning their degree goes unmatched," said Jenna McKinley-Fall, CSU Pueblo Associate Athletic Director/Compliance/SWA and Student-Athlete Development.

At this spring's graduation ceremony that was held at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl on May 16, 78 CSU Pueblo student-athletes graduated. Twenty-four of those graduated student-athletes completed their collegiate academic careers with a 3.75 or better cumulative GPA.

After the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic year, 26 CSU Pueblo student-athletes have recorded a cumulative GPA of 4.0, while 192 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better, and 150 have recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

CSU Pueblo Athletics currently features 20 intercollegiate athletic teams competing at the NCAA Division II level, and the school is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
