PUEBLO, Colo. — Colorado State University Pueblo women's lacrosse closed out the home portion of its 2026 schedule here Sunday afternoon with a dominating 18-7 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over Fort Lewis on Senior Day at ALG Stadium.
Before Sunday's game, the Pack honored its four seniors in a pregame ceremony. This year's seniors are defender
Audrey Allendorf (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls), attacker
Clara Drinkwater (North Kingstown, R.I./North Kingstown), midfielder
Sophia Rinn (Eagle, Colo./Eagle Valley), and midfielder
Reese Wasmund (Portland, Ore./West Linn).
With Sunday's win, the Pack snaps a six-game losing skid and improves to 5-9 overall and 2-6 in the RMAC, while Fort Lewis fell to 0-10 overall and 0-8 in the league. The win also keeps the Pack's slim postseason hopes alive entering the last week of the regular season.
In order for the Pack to secure the final spot in the RMAC Tournament, they will need to win their two games next weekend at Westminster and Colorado Mesa, and Colorado Mesa lose both of its home games next weekend against the ThunderWolves and Fort Lewis.
With Sunday's win, the Pack finishes the 2026 season with a 2-6 home record, and the five wins this season are the most for the Pack since 2019, when the Pack finished the season with a 6-8 overall record and went 4-5 in RMAC play.
The ThunderWolves controlled Sunday's Senior Day contest from the opening draw, scoring six goals in both the first and second periods to take a commanding 12-3 halftime lead and never looked back. The Pack outshot the Skyhawks, 38-19, and held advantages in draw controls (14-12) and ground balls (28-26) in the victory.
Sophomore attacker
Emily Doane (Lake Forest, Calif./El Toro) led the Pack offense with four goals and an assist, while freshman midfielder
Ainsley Jackson (Anaheim, Calif./Canyon) recorded a hat trick with three goals, and sophomore midfielder
Sydney Gunnels (Dallas, Texas/Coppell) also had three goals in the win. Wasmund contributed a strong all-around performance with two goals and tied a career-high with three assists.
Sophia Rinn had two goals and two assists, while her sister, redshirt freshman midfielder
Sienna Rinn (Eagle, Colo./Eagle Valley) had two goals. The 18 goals by the Pack tied a season high.
Doane's four goals pushed her season total to 35, which is tied for fifth place on the school's single-season chart with Alix Zierden, who scored 35 goals during the 2018 season. The school record for single-season goals is 40, set by current Pack assistant coach
Emily Eller in 2021.
The Pack wasted little time taking control, jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the opening period behind two goals from Doane and scores from Jackson, Gunnels, and Wasmund. The ThunderWolves extended their lead to 12-3 by halftime as they got two goals from Jackson and single goals in the period from
Sienna Rinn, Doane, Gunnels, and Wasmund.
The Pack also added three goals each in the third period from Gunnels,
Sophia Rinn, and Wasmund to take a 15-5 lead after three periods of play. In the fourth period, the Pack completed the scoring with goals from
Sienna Rinn, freshman attacker
Chloe Mora (Newport Beach, Calif./Orange Lutheran), and redshirt freshman midfielder
Alexandria Bennett (Corona, Calif./Concordia-Irvine).
Freshman defender Maelyn Saucedo (Eastvale, Calif./Eleanor Roosevelt) had five ground balls and a career-high five caused turnovers, which is tied for fifth-most in a game in school history, as the Pack had 16 caused turnovers in the game.
Sienna Rinn had a career-high seven draws and four ground balls, while Wasmund had four draws and pushed her career total to 81, which is ninth on the school's all-time charts.
