INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team continues to hold its place among the top programs in the region, as the ThunderWolves checked in at No. 10 in the most recent NCAA Division II West Regional Rankings.
The ranking reflects another strong chapter in what has been an impressive 2025-26 campaign for the Pack, who have consistently competed against some of the top teams in the country throughout both the fall and spring seasons.
Dallas Baptist sits atop this week's West Region rankings at No. 1, followed by UT Tyler and Cal State San Marcos in the top three. St. Mary's (Texas) and Midwestern State round out the top five, while Cal State LA, Point Loma, West Texas A&M, and Simon Fraser come in just ahead of CSU Pueblo. The ThunderWolves hold the No. 10 spot in a competitive region that will ultimately send teams to the NCAA postseason.
CSU Pueblo enters the rankings coming off a statement performance at home, as the ThunderWolves captured the team title at the Southern Colorado Open at Walking Stick Golf Course earlier this week. The victory marked the Pack's fourth team title of the 2025-26 season and the first win under Interim Head Coach John Wristen, highlighting both the program's consistency and continued success.
Individually, Lisa Ekberg continues to lead the way for the ThunderWolves and was recognized for her performance this week as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week after a T1st performance. Ekberg's play at the Southern Colorado Open was instrumental in the team's victory and adds to what has been a standout season for the Pack.
For CSU Pueblo, the ranking is a testament to the program's continued rise and ability to compete at a high level against some of the nation's top programs. The ThunderWolves have put together multiple strong performances throughout the year, showcasing both depth and experience across the lineup.
The Pack's success has been fueled by a balanced group that has delivered steady scoring throughout the season. Veteran leadership combined with impactful rounds across the lineup has allowed CSU Pueblo to remain in contention at nearly every event it has entered.
Throughout the year, the ThunderWolves have also proven they can compete not only within the RMAC, but against nationally ranked programs across multiple regions. That experience has been critical in building a resume strong enough to remain inside the top 10 of the West Region rankings.
With the postseason quickly approaching, CSU Pueblo finds itself firmly in the mix for a potential NCAA Regional Championship berth. The ThunderWolves will look to continue building momentum in the coming weeks as they prepare for the RMAC Championships and the final push toward selection.
Now ranked among the top 10 teams in the West Region and coming off a championship performance on their home course, the Pack remains in strong position as it eyes a return to NCAA postseason play, continuing to establish itself as one of the premier programs in Division II women's golf.
