COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo track and field continued its standout indoor season this week as Helen Braybrook was named the RMAC Track Athlete of the Week following a nationally elite performance at the Tyson Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Braybrook delivered one of the top runs in the nation in the 800 meters, clocking a time of 2:04.2 to post the fastest mark in NCAA Division II this season. The senior from Frieston, United Kingdom finished just fractions off her lifetime personal best of 2:03.7, further cementing her status as one of the premier middle-distance athletes in the country. Competing against a deep and highly competitive field, Braybrook's performance stood out on a national stage and reinforced her consistency at the highest level of collegiate track and field.
The 800-meter effort adds to an already historic season for Braybrook, who now owns two No. 1 marks nationally in Division II. Earlier this year, she set the Division II record in the mile with a time of 4:30.3, a performance that continues to resonate across the national landscape. With elite times across multiple events, Braybrook has been a driving force behind the ThunderWolves' success throughout the indoor campaign.
Her RMAC Track Athlete of the Week honor reflects both her individual excellence and the continued momentum of the CSU Pueblo program as it moves deeper into the championship portion of the season. Braybrook's consistency, competitiveness, and ability to perform on big stages continue to elevate the ThunderWolves at both the conference and national level.
