Sweepe competed in a field made up exclusively of professional and Division I athletes, making his podium finish a statement performance on the national stage.

The men's middle-distance group continued its strong showing in the 800 meters, as Tim Anstett shattered the school record with a personal-best time of 1:47.99. Caleb McLeod followed with a season-best mark of 1:49.48, giving CSU Pueblo two standout performances in one of the meet's most competitive events.
