PUEBLO, Colo. – Despite reeling off three consecutive victories, the Colorado State University Pueblo Football remains ranked No. 12 once again in both of this week's latest AFCA Division II Coaches' and D2Football.com polls that were released Monday.
In this week's fifth weekly national Division II football polls of the season, the ThunderWolves, who are 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in the RMAC after earning a 55-7 home win this past Saturday against Adams State, remained ranked No. 12 in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches' Poll presented by Hudl and also remained ranked No. 12 in the latest D2Football.com Media Top 25 Poll.
The Pack received 414 points in this week's AFCA Coaches' Poll to sit 20 points in front of No. 13 Minnesota-Duluth (5-0) and four points behind No. 11 West Alabama (5-0).
The Pack are one of three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools either ranked or receiving votes in the latest AFCA poll and one of two league schools ranked in the D2Football.com poll. Besides the Pack in the AFCA poll, Western Colorado (4-0) remained ranked No. 7 following its 30-3 home win last week over New Mexico Highlands, while Colorado School of Mines (3-1) was one 19 teams to earn votes this week as they received eight. In the D2Football.com poll, Western Colorado remained ranked No. 5 this week.
In this week's latest polls, Ferris State (4-0) and Harding (4-0) continue to sit No. 1 and No. 2 in both polls again this week as Ferris State earned 775 points and all 31 first place votes in the AFCA poll, while Harding earned 744 points this week. Behind Ferris and State and Harding in the AFCA poll is West Florida (4-0) at No. 3, Kutztown (4-0) at No. 4 and Angelo State (4-0) at No. 5.
Meanwhile, in the D2Football.com poll, Kutztown remains No. 3 and is followed at No. 4 by West Florida and Western Colorado at No. 5.
CSU Pueblo will look to improve to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the RMAC this coming Saturday, Oct. 4 as the ThunderWolves travel to Las Vegas, N.M., for a 1 p.m. RMAC tilt against New Mexico Highlands (3-1 overall, 1-1 RMAC). The Pack has won 19 straight RMAC games dating to the 2023 season, which is currently the longest active conference win streak in Division II football.
