CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) announced the 2024-25 recipients of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards on Thursday. In its 18th years, the Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.
Colorado State University Pueblo had 139 student-athletes earn the honor this year. Student-athletes in all 20 of CSU Pueblo's varsity athletic programs were recognized by the D2ADA. Listed below is a breakdown of the number of student-athletes honored in each of the Pack's athletic teams.

The ThunderWolves' tally of 139 student-athletes were second-most among Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools as Colorado Mesa had a league-best 280 student-athletes recognized. Overall, the RMAC had a total of 939 student-athletes from eight of the league's 15 member institutions.
For the first time since inception, there were more than 20,000 student-athletes recognized (22,756) from a record 202 Division II institutions honored with an Academic Achievement Award from the 2024-25 school year. Historically, 190,032 total student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program.
In order to qualify for a D2ADA Academic Achievement Award, the following must occur:
- The school's Athletic Director must be a current dues-paying member of the D2ADA.
- The student-athlete must have …
- A cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college work
- Have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her most recent academic year
"Since its inception, this program has been dedicated to celebrating the exceptional student-athletes who define excellence across our Division II landscape," said Tracy Murphy, vice president for athletics at Daeman University and current D2 ADA President. "This year, we are thrilled to recognize a record number of deserving individuals, reflecting the unprecedented dedication within our division – not only in athletics, but in the classroom as well. This year's record-breaking submissions for both individuals and schools serve as a testament to the Division II way.
