Retzlaff, English, Ethridge and Seidenberger Named to D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List for 2025 Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Colorado State University Pueblo Football had four players garner preseason recognition on Sunday evening as D2Football.com named its Elite 100 Watch List for the 2025 season.

The four Pack players named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List were redshirt senior receiver Reggie Retzlaff (Corona, Calif./Riverside City College), junior defensive back Donovan English (Pomona, Calif./Colony), who named to the First-Team Offense and First Defense respectively, while junior offensive lineman Tyler Ethridge (Midlothian, Texas/Midlothian) and junior linebacker Gary Seidenberger (Fredericksburg, Texas/Fredericksburg) were named to the Squad Team on offense and defense respectively.

The Elite 100 Watch List was chosen by the D2Football.com staff with input from numerous Division II coaches and professional football scouting veteran James Buchanan.

Retzlaff earns his First-Team D2Football.com Elite 100 Offense Watch List spot at receiver after being named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a Harlon Hill Trophy finalist in 2024. He set new single-season school records for receptions (67), receiving yards (1,228), and receiving touchdowns (12). He led the RMAC and ranked in the Top 10 in Division II in receiving yards (1,228), receiving yards per game (111.6), and receiving touchdowns (12), and was second in the league in both receptions per game (6.1) and all-purpose yards per game (112.5).

During the 2024 regular season, Retzlaff was named a First-Team AP Division II, AFCA Division II, and Second-Team D2CCA All-American last season and was also a Second-Team D2Football.com Elite 100 Team member and a two-time RMAC Offensive Player of the Week and an NFF Colorado Chapter Player of the Week. On the season, he caught at least seven passes in six games, tallied 100 or more receiving yards in a game six times, including a single-game school record 241 yards in the Pack's 35-6 season-opening win at South Dakota Mines. He also hauled in two or more touchdown catches in a game four times. Retzlaff enters the 2025 season having recorded 24 career touchdown receptions, which is tied for tops on the school's career list, while his 2,033 career receiving yards are third on the school's all-time list, and his 115 receptions are sixth on the school's all-time list.

English earns his First-Team D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List spot at defensive back after earning First-Team All-RMAC honors last season, after tying for the team lead in interceptions with three and tied for fifth in the RMAC in interceptions per game (0.3). His eight pass breakups were tied for the third-most on the team, while his 11 passes defended (1.2 per game) was tops in the RMAC and 21st nationally in Division II. Along with being a First-Team All-RMAC selection, he was named a Second-Team D2CCA All-Super Region selection.  

Ethridge earns a spot on the D2Football.com Elite 100 Offense Squad Team at offensive line after being a First-Team All-RMAC selection during the 2024 season. On the season, he started 11 games at left tackle for the Pack and helped the Pack offense lead the RMAC in scoring (40.2 points per game) and passing offense (308.5 yards per game) and was second in total offense (462.3 yards per game) and sixth in rushing offense (153.8 yards per game). The Pack offensive line led the league and 30th nationally in fewest sacks allowed (15), and the Pack offense finished the season gaining 5,547 yards, scoring 63 touchdowns, and gained 259 first downs.

Seidenberger earns a spot on the D2Football.com Elite 100 Defense Squad Team at linebacker after being a Second-Team All-RMAC selection last season after who was a Second-Team All-RMAC selection last season after leading the team in tackles with 87 and also adding 7.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, two pass break-ups, and an interception. Seidenberger was named the RMAC Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2023.

Retzlaff, English, Ethridge and Seidenberger were four of the nine players from the RMAC named to the D2Football.com Elite Watch List as joining the Pack foursome were Colorado Mines senior receiver Flynn Schiele (First Team Offense), Western Colorado senior defensive lineman Ricky Freymond (First Team Defense), Western Colorado senior quarterback Drew Nash (Second Team Offense), Colorado School of Mines senior defensive back Jackson Zimmerman (Squad Defense) and Chadron State senior defensive back Dax Yeradi (Squad Defense).

The Pack, who began preseason on Monday, Aug. 4, will kick off its 2025 schedule on Thursday, Aug. 28, with a 6 p.m. RMAC home contest in the ThunderBowl against South Dakota Mines. The South Dakota Mines game will be the first of five home games this season for the Pack and one of three straight Thursday games for the Pack.
