Retzlaff Named to 2025 Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch List

TAMPA, Fla. – Colorado State University Pueblo redshirt senior receiver Reggie Retzlaff (Corona, Calif./Riverside City College) has been named to the 2025 Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch List as announced by the East West Shrine Bowl on Monday morning.

The 101st annual East-West Shrine Bowl is a best-in-class all-star event that will take place at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on January 27, 2026. NFL coaches will coach players in an NFL facility and will have access to NFL-level resources, facilities, player-friendly schedules, and opportunities at the highest level.

The East-West Shrine Bowl offers these NFL hopefuls a chance to showcase their skills while supporting the life-changing mission of Shriners Children's.

Every year, approximately 1,000 all-star game-eligible players are drafted, signed after the draft, or attend a rookie mini-camp. Our aim is for this Shrine Bowl 1000 to serve as a glimpse into our scouting process, as well as a preview of college players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl and the 2026 NFL Draft class.

Retzlaff is one of 10 NCAA Division II players who have been named to the 2025 Shrine Bowl 1000 Watch List. The other Division II players named were Central Oklahoma receiver Jaylen Cottrell, Colorado Mines receiver Flynn Schiele, Davenport offensive lineman Samuel Garcia, University of Indianapolis offensive lineman Ryne Buttz, Minnesota State-Moorhead quarterback Jack Strand, Slippery Rock offensive tackle Joe Cooper, Virginia State offensive lineman Bruno Onwuazor, West Florida edge rusher Colby Taylor and Western Colorado defensive lineman Ricky Freymond.

Retzlaff enters his third and final season with the ThunderWolves in 2025 after transferring from Riverside City College. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a Harlon Hill Trophy finalist in 2024 played in and started 11 games for the Pack and set new single-season school records for receptions (67), receiving yards (1,228), and receiving touchdowns (12). He led the RMAC and ranked in the Top 10 in Division II in receiving yards (1,228), receiving yards per game (111.6), and receiving touchdowns (12), and was second in the league in both receptions per game (6.1) and all-purpose yards per game (112.5).

During the 2024 regular season, Retzlaff was named a First-Team AP Division II, AFCA Division II, and Second-Team D2CCA All-American last season and was also a Second-Team D2Football.com Elite 100 Team member and a two-time RMAC Offensive Player of the Week and an NFF Colorado Chapter Player of the Week. On the season, he caught at least seven passes in six games, tallied 100 or more receiving yards in a game six times, including a single-game school record 241 yards in the Pack's 35-6 season-opening win at South Dakota Mines. He also hauled in two or more touchdown catches in a game four times.

Retzlaff, who enters the 2025 season having recorded 24 career touchdown receptions, which is tied for tops on the school's career list, while his 2,033 career receiving yards is third on the school's all-time list and his 115 receptions are sixth on the school's all-time list, led all Colorado football receivers (all levels) in receiving yards and is second in pass receiving yards and was one of two players in school history to record 1,000 or more receiving yards in a season. Recorded a team-high 20 plays of 20 or more yards on the season, including a 76-yard touchdown reception at Western Colorado, which was the longest offensive play of the season. Eight of his 12 touchdown receptions went for 20 or more yards and sits third among active Division II players in career yards per catch (17.7).
