PUEBLO, Colo. – During the recently completed 2025 spring semester, Colorado State University Pueblo student-athletes achieved a 3.226 term GPA. Ninety-four Pack student-athletes recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average, while 163 student-athletes achieved a GPA of 3.5 or better, and 105 student-athletes had GPAs of 3.0 or better.
"Congratulations to our Pack student-athletes on another very successful academic year. Having a cumulative GPA over 3.2 for yet another academic year is a testament to the work our student-athletes are doing in the classroom. It's also a example of the type of student-athletes that our coaches are bringing to CSU Pueblo," CSU Pueblo Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships
Dr. Paul Plinske said. "A special shout out to our cross country teams on their academic performance. Their cumulative GPAs have set the bar very high and led our Department as the highest overall, men's and women's GPA."
When combining the 2024 fall semester with the 2025 spring semester, CSU Pueblo's student-athletes finished the 2024-25 academic year with a combined 3.222 term GPA. For the school year, 15 of the Pack's 20 athletic programs finished with 3.0 or better cumulative GPA, with the women's cross country team leading the way with a 3.828 GPA for the 2024-25 school year. On the men's side, the cross country team led the way with a 3.536 GPA for the 2024-25 school year.
Seventeen of CSU Pueblo's 20 athletic teams recorded a team GPA of 3.0 or above during the spring semester, including five programs recording a GPA of 3.5 or better. The women's cross country team finished with a department-best 3.809 GPA during the spring semester. In addition to the women's cross country team, the other programs with a GPA's over 3.5 for the spring semester were the women's tennis team (3.760 GPA), the volleyball team (3.647 GPA), the women's track and field team (3.624 GPA) and the women's soccer team (3.558). The highest performing men's program during the spring semester was the men's cross country team as they recorded a 3.443 GPA.
The other CSU Pueblo athletic programs that recorded over a 3.0 GPA for the 2024-25 academic year besides the men's and women's cross country teams were the women's tennis team (3.635 GPA), the volleyball team (3.625 GPA), the women's track and field team (3.577 GPA), the women's soccer team (3.506) GPA), the men's track and field team (3.442 GPA), the softball team (3.394 GPA), the women's swimming team (3.357), the women's golf team (3.347), the men's golf team (3.278 GPA), the baseball team (3.179 GPA) the men's soccer team (3.080 GPA), the wrestling team (3.053 GPA), and the football team (3.035 GPA).

At this spring's graduation ceremony that was held at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl on May 17, 97 CSU Pueblo student-athletes graduated. Twenty-nine of those graduated student-athletes completed their collegiate academic careers with a 3.75 or better cumulative GPA.
After the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year, 20 CSU Pueblo student-athletes have recorded a cumulative GPA of 4.0, while 194 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better, and 137 have recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
CSU Pueblo Athletics currently features 20 intercollegiate athletic teams competing at the NCAA Division II level, and the school is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
