PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Colorado State University Pueblo men's golfer Agustin Pizzorno continues to hold his own on one of the toughest tracks in collegiate golf. Competing at the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships at PGA National Resort, Pizzorno followed up his opening-round 1-over-par 73 with a steady 2-over-par 74 on Day 2.
Pizzorno, a key contributor for the ThunderWolves, showed consistency and poise across the 7,000-yard layout and home to the PGA Tour's Honda Classic, navigating the course's most notorious stretch—the Bear Trap—with confidence. The Bear Trap, comprised of holes 15, 16, and 17, can be a round-wrecker, but Pizzorno went even-par through the trio, showcasing sharp course management and resilience.
His second-round 74 included two birdies and has him sitting in a tie for 38th place heading into the final round of play. Pizzorno will tee off from hole No. 1 at 12:05 p.m. ET on Wednesday, looking to close out the championship with another strong performance.
With two solid rounds under his belt on a demanding setup, Pizzorno has proven he belongs among the nation's best Division II golfers.
