Women’s Golf Caps Regular Season with Strong Third-Place Finish at Palm Valley Classic

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Golf team closed out their regular season in impressive fashion, finishing third at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic held at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

The ThunderWolves were once again paced by standout Swedish sophomore Lisa Ekberg, who continued her stellar season with rounds of 68 and 76 to earn a tie for ninth place individually. Freshman Yale Lee turned in a consistent performance with scores of 73-72, while Scotland's own Freya Constable showed her steady game, carding back-to-back rounds of 73.

Zoey Rodriguez rebounded from an opening round of 77 with a strong even-par 72 on day two, playing a key role in the team's overall finish. Alyssa McMillen rounded out the scoring lineup with solid rounds of 75 and 74.

This marks the end of regular season play for CSU Pueblo, who now turn their attention to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in a couple weeks in Boulder City, Nevada at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The ThunderWolves will be looking to defend their conference title and secure a third consecutive RMAC Championship, with eyes on another postseason berth.
