GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado State University-Pueblo Track and Field squads closed out the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Outdoor Championships with a series of standout performances this past weekend at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado.
The ThunderWolves capped off the regular season with the men's team finishing third overall with 101 points, while the women's team finished a strong fourth with 104 points. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) swept both the men's and women's team titles, scoring 198 and 172 points, respectively.
The ThunderWolves not only showcased their depth across multiple events but also saw several athletes punch their tickets to the NCAA Division II National Championships, which will be hosted at CSU Pueblo's own ThunderBowl from May 22–24.
Highlights from Day Three:

Women's Javelin: Febe Wessels hit a personal best of 42.13 meters to finish third, earning All-Conference honors.

Women's Discus:Katherine Higgins, already an All-American in shot put, finished second with a throw of 44.07 meters, followed closely by Wessels in third (43.78 meters).

Men's Shot Put: Xavier Freeman captured gold with a personal best of 17.77 meters, scoring big for the ThunderWolves.

Women's 1,500m: Helen Braybrook dominated, breaking a facility record with a winning time of 4:24.74, while teammate Jaydn Herron finished runner-up in 4:24.41.

Men's 1,500m: Reece Sharman-Newell took home the title, clocking an even 4:00.00. Jon Sweep also contributed with a sixth-place finish.

Women's 400m Dash: Janise Everett sprinted to a second-place finish in 55.44 seconds, setting a personal best and earning All-Conference honors.

Men's 100m Dash: Tyrell Smith, the All-American sprinter, finished second with a time of 10.50 seconds.

Women's 800m: Leah Keisler ran a personal best of 2:08.38 to win gold.

Men's 800m: CSU-Pueblo dominated with four of the top eight finishers. Emil Meggle won with a personal best of 1:49.26, narrowly beating teammate Caleb McLeod, who ran 1:49.70.

Men's and Women's 4x400m Relays:

The women's team of Braybrook, Keisler, Everett, and Gabrielle Dunich finished third (3:46.76), adding more All-Conference honors.

The men's squad of Smith, Meggle, Tim Anstett, and Sharman-Newell ran a personal record of 3:11.79 to finish second.
The ThunderWolves shattered personal bests and facility records all weekend, building major momentum heading into the postseason.
Next up, CSU Pueblo will host the NCAA Last Chance Meet on May 3 at the ThunderBowl, giving athletes one final opportunity to qualify for nationals.
